Our Story

Hi! We’re Ilana Alberico and Nathalie Malkoff. Our relationship is built on a friendship. Our kids went to pre-school together. We were both working moms just trying to make it through the day-to-day, sharing a nanny and making it to as many school performances as we could…

 

One day, after a terrible, unsatisfactory massage, a kids birthday party turned into dinner drinks… Nathalie complained to the right person. Ilana, a former massage therapist who now  manages spas around the country. She, too, felt the frustration of a business that was essentially broken. From her end, she experienced the pain points of having underutilized treatment rooms….

 

Now she was hearing the customer’s side of the same story… Nathalie explained to Ilana the frustrations of paying good money for bad service.

 

We both realized that the spa industry simply hasn’t evolved with the on-demand revolution. That technology is available that can give customers, therapists and spas the ability to customize the spa experience while at the same time maximizing the business of relaxation. But that technology had yet to be developed... until now.

 

That’s what Spa Space App does. We open up underused treatment rooms to massage clients and highly skilled therapists matched specifically to their needs at safe, luxurious resort spas.
