PAMELA M. HAYES | Biography and Background
PAMELA M. HAYES, MFT, ATR-BC is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in the state of California and a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association (AATA). Pamela is a national lecturer with a private practice based in Calabasas, CA. Her specialties include: alcohol and drug addictions, foster care and adoption issues, parenting skills, gender identity, depression and anxiety, grief and ADHD. She is also a court certified Sexual Abuse Evaluator and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
Ms. Hayes has a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in New York, NY and Otis/Parsons in Los Angeles, CA. She received a Graduate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from The College of Notre Dame in Belmont, CA
Ms. Hayes is a noted speaker and educator. She taught Art Therapy courses at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and lectures throughout the United States. She loves Thia cocnut soup and her Tempurpedic bed!
Ms. Hayes is also a painter, a runner, and a black-belt in Mixed Martial Arts. She has two children who were home schooled for the first 10 years of their lives. Pamela believes process of combined parenting and teaching has furthered her understanding of family dynamics.
